EROTIC & SENSUAL MASSAGES by SAM

Ever tried erotic massage? It's relaxing, enjoyable and a fab boost for your sex drive, so revive the erotic potential of every part of your bod!

Try out our massage ideas and techniques. Don't forget that they can be performed on both men and women...so drop him some hints!

How do I go about it? Get your partner to lie down comfortably on his back with his head positioned on a cushion. Kneeling down behind him, place your hands on his forehead and start to stroke him lightly from his nose up to his hairline, alternating hands. Repeat this around ten times, varying the intensity of the pressure according to how you think he's feeling. To finish, place your palms on his temples and keep them there for two minutes.

Why is it so good? Because it stimulates the energy centre behind the forehead, also known as the third eye. This relieves tension, eases stress and brings a feeling of wellbeing.
A good time to try it: This is a gentle massage, so it's ideal to start with before you move onto raunchier massage. Give him a head massage first to get him relaxed and in the mood. Head massage is perfect for beginners: it's quick and easy and gets you used to physical contact.

Tip: To make the massage more erotic, make small circular movements on his scalp, which contains lots of sexual stimulation spots.

Note: The ear is a very sensitive and highly erogenous area that can send shivers of pleasure through the body when stimulated. Explore with your tongue or just hot breath, but beware: some people can't bear being touched too close to their ear. Stop at the first sign that he's not enjoying it!

BACK MASSAGE
How do I go about it? To give him a Californian massage, make him lie down on his stomach and position yourself towards his head with your hands flat at the top of his back. Slide your palms gently down to his bum, as if you're stretching his skin towards his feet. Squeeze his bum, slide your hands along his flanks then go back up to his armpits before lightly tugging his shoulders upwards to return to your starting position. Repeat this movement, increasing the pressure as you go along. Don't forget to synchronise your actions with your partner's breathing: go down when he exhales and up when he inhales.

Why is it so good? Because it's relaxing and releases muscular tension. It also revives the skin's sensitivity, making him even more receptive to your caresses!

A good time to try it: After a long, hard day at work, when he's too stressed or tired for acrobatic sex. It's guaranteed to relax him and turn him on!

An extra idea: For a bit of a change, you can also give him a Californian massage on the chest (using the same movements) and stomach: position yourself to the right of your partner, place your hands on his abdomen then massage in clockwise circular movements.

Did you know? This massage is actually called Sensitive Gestalt Massage, but it's known as Californian massage because it was invented there in 1960s (and it sounds a lot sexier as well, we reckon).

CHEST MASSAGE
How do I go about it? Position yourself on the right of your partner, in line with his hips. Place your hands on his pecs then make 3 circular movements: clockwise for the rightbreast and anti-clockwise for the left. Still making circular omvements, bring the breasts in towards each other, then separate them. Next, slide your fingers from the nipple towards the outside of the breast, then make a gentle kneading movement wth the skin, varying the pressure. To finish on a more sensual note, delicately kiss his chest.

Why is it so good? The chest and stomach are among the most sensitive parts of the body: the skin around the collar bone is very thin so very receptive to touch. And in both men and women, the chest is a secondary erogenous zone that, when touched, leads to arousal of the primary zones (genitals).

A good time to try it: When your libido is sluggish. 30 minutes of sensual chest massage should be enough to relight the fire.

An extra idea: Why not use a feather or brush to caress his chest? You'll have him shivering with pleasure.

Note: Nipple stimulation alone can lead to orgasm in 24% of women, according to a survey.

ARM MASSAGE
How do I go about it? Sitting next to your partner, take his right hand in your left hand, and position your right hand on his wrist, with your fingers pointing towards his shoulder. Gently go from the wrist to the elbow, then continue up to the shoulder, before going back down the length of the arm. Do this twice.
Next, place your two hands parallel on his forearm and go up to his shoulder, applying even pressure. Go back down, releasing the pressure. Repeat this several times. Finally, hold his right hand between your hands and use your thumbs to make kneading movements on his palm, then slide your index finger between his fingers. Repeat with his left arm.

Why is it so good? We often ignore them, but the arms contain manyerogenous zones, notably the elbows (at the crook), the wrists and the hands. Very rarely caressed on a daily basis (especially the hands!), the hands are particularly sensitive to massage, which provides intense sensations.

A good time to try it: When you feel like you're in a routine between the sheets and daily physical contact is rare. Massaging the arms lets you rediscover and focus on your partner's hands and shoulders, parts of the body which we all to often neglect.

An extra idea: To spice up the massage a bit, slip your tongue between your partner's fingers and gently kiss his fingertips.

Note: Because of their symbolic meaning (they protect and coax), erotic massage of the hands and arms reinforces your feelings for each other and forges stronger links between you.

BUM MASSAGE
How do I go about it? He lies down on his stomach and you straddle his bum. Place your palms flat on his bum and massage in circular movements, getting bigger as you go along. Increase the pressure gradually. Next, place your hands on his right buttock, and using your thumbs, create a roll of skin that you push up to the coccyx (tailbone). Alternate between the left and right buttocks.

Why is it so good?Because his derrière is a highly erotic area, just like ours! Also, the stimulation spots that control the prostate and testosterone production in men are located around the coccyx, near to the gluteal cleft (i.e. the crack).

A good time to try it: When you have enough confidence in your partner to allow him to get to grips with your bum in the light. One to avoid the first time if you're a bit insecure about your bum!

An extra idea: Vary the tools you use! Rather than your hands, place your forearms on his bum and make circular movements from the outside inwards. Larger movements give more intense pressure.

Note: While light caresses using your fingertips are enough to stimulate the thighs, kneading movements and vigorous massage are more suitable for the bum, which is more muscular.

FEET MASSAGING TECHNIQUE
How do I go about it? Your partner lies down on his back, with a little cushion placed under his knees. Sitting at his feet, pour some oil into your palms and warm it up. Take his left foot in both your hands and make gentle clockwise movements around each of his malleoluses (the prominent bones on each side of the ankle) with your thumbs. Do the same with his right foot, then place the first three fingers of each of your hands on the outer malleolus of his ankles. Draw five slow circles in one direction then in the other before making figure of 8 movements. Continue, varying the pressure and width of the movements.

Why is it so good? Because the feet are potential erogenous zones and consist of 4 sexual stimulation spots that are linked to the genitals. Massaging the feet is both relaxing and arousing: double the benefits!

A good time to try it: After foreplay, just before you get down to business.

An extra idea: Make your own sexy, woody foot massage oil by mixing 50ml sweet almond oil with 6 drops of sandalwood oil.

Tip: Are you familiar with plantar reflexology? This calming therapy treats the body's organs at a distance by applying pressure to the feet with the thumbs. In addition to the erotic aspect, foot massage is also great if you're stressed, anxious, bloated or have headaches.

10 GOLDEN RULES FOR EROTIC MASSAGE
1) Dine lightly beforehand: a lightaphrodisiac meal is perfect (oysters, strawberries, champagne...).

2) Heat the room up: 25° is ideal. You're both going to be naked, so you don't want to freeze! If the temperature isn't high enough, your partner's muscles won't relax, his body will tense and he won't get any pleasure out of it.

3) Create a relaxed atmosphere: dim the lights and disconnect the phone so you don't get disturbed. Put on some soft, relaxing background music and burn some essential oils (3 drops of orange blossom to relieve tension, for example).

4) Make yourselves comfy: arrange cushions, warm blankets and soft thick towels on the bed, sofa or floor.

5) Invest in some massage oils: choose relatively fluid, oily ones that slide and don't stick! Avoid chemical paraffin oils: opt for organic plant oils. There's a huge choice of oils out there, from almond and macadamia to apricot kernel and sesame.

6) Remove your jewellery and cut your nails so you don't hurt him! And avoid any scars and varicose veins.

7) Pay attention to his reactions: vary the pressure you apply depending on how much he's enjoying it, and move to the rhythm of his breathing.

8) Vary the techniques you use: light, feather-like movements, rolling and kneading.

9) Share: Take it in turns to massage each other. Erotic massage has to be reciprocal!

10) Use your imagination: You don't have to follow the techniques word for word. Intersperse massage with kisses and gestures of affection.
